As you might see soon, english is not my mothertongue. And since english speaking people are used to others stumble around in their language, I hope I don't make too much of an idiot of myself here. So - my deepest apologies adressed to the English Language for not worshipping her better.

When I was a small child, my Dad worked some time as a lorry driver. He drove for several firms, not really huge trucks, but the in Germany usual 7.5 t stuff, maybe with a hanger. I can remember some days he took me with him, it must be about 30 years ago, when we sopped at a butcher for lunch and had just sausage and fresh Breadrolls. For me it was the best lunch ever, since I wasn't used to that.
Just good sausage and bread is still something I'd prefer to many cooked meals.
I have no idea what freight we drove, but I can remember one day when he gave me some papers to hide them under my shirt. Remember - I was about 5 or six years old, so this was spectacular. I have no idea if he just made it up or if he was really driving anything illegal or too much or too long or whatever but to me it was an enormous adventure.
Anyway - the US has, according to Al Jazeera - developed a mechanic sniffer to prevent smuggling of weapons.
