As you might see soon, english is not my mothertongue. And since english speaking people are used to others stumble around in their language, I hope I don't make too much of an idiot of myself here. So - my deepest apologies adressed to the English Language for not worshipping her better.

Why him?
I mean, in the US and on every other place in the world are living enough lawyers with a profile-neurosis, but why has it to be a french one who wants to defend Saddam?
Not that I don't want anyone to defend him - everyone has the right to the best possible defense, even Saddam, but can you imagine those braindead rightie-parole suckers who will take this as a new plot of the French, Europe and everyone in the whole world except her friends against themselves and their friends.
Anyway - as it seems the trial will happen in Iraq, which would be good news.
The question is, if he can be found guilty on whatever, you know - the big fishes get to hold their hands clean pretty often.
I hope he will have a fair trial and they'll find some things wih witness and waterproof.
