As you might see soon, english is not my mothertongue. And since english speaking people are used to others stumble around in their language, I hope I don't make too much of an idiot of myself here. So - my deepest apologies adressed to the English Language for not worshipping her better.

Sometimes, Wondergirl wakes me up in the middle of the night, crying or shouting "no no no". Only the cats see me then jogging through the kitchen and the floor to her room. Usually in the Dark. Usually there is a chair or a bag or a cat or some stuff from Wondergirl in my way. Means, I arrive, mumbling some curses, at her room and hear her shout or scream or both.
I then switch on the ligths in the floor for not to have it too bright in her room and then go to her bed and start talking to her in a quiet voice.
Just some minutes ago this happened. She was there in her bed, her eyes shut and shouting "No No No" and "aua aua" and "Mama". I went to her, asked her where the "Aua" (pain) is but she did not answer even if she knows all main body parts by now. She wanted to be snuggled, I held her on my lap then on my arm, the she wanted "down" and when I put her on her feet she wanted to be back on the "arm" again.
I was really worried, until I noticed she hadn't opened her eyes. That means, she was still sleeping and in the middle of a terrible nightmare.
How do you get a child to wake up when it's in the middle of such?
You just don't.
At least I didn't. I carried her a bit around and kissed and snuggled with her and then I took her back to bed and she fell asleep the second I left the room.
