As you might see soon, english is not my mothertongue. And since english speaking people are used to others stumble around in their language, I hope I don't make too much of an idiot of myself here. So - my deepest apologies adressed to the English Language for not worshipping her better.

The Death Penalty
Yes, one thing, why the US and especially their actual president are so suspect to many europeans is the Death Penalty. I was born in 1968. I grew up in a country that condems Death Penalty. I grew up in a time where Death Penalty is seen as very cruel and where no human has the right to kill another one. Neither has any state. The US see it different. At least some States. They claim the right to kill people when a jury condems them to death. The gouvernor is the only one who could stop this process and folks like George W. show up with the number of people being killed during their governorship. Can you imagine how this looks to someone like me? It seems barbaric, it seems strange when a president claims to be a christ and a minute later claims to be okay with the death penalty. I'm no speacialist in the bible, but I know for sure that since the new testatment there was not a single word about killing your enemies and all that. That's all in the old testament. But I don't want a religious discussion. It' s more strange when I see who else allows death penalty. Countries like China, Iran, and Lybia, for example. Is that a companionship a civilized country wants to be in? Well, the amnesty sites report everything one wants to know about the numbers and statistics. I found it via blamblog.
