Lillis place for rants and musing about life, universe and the whole rest. Mostly left, mostly sarcastic, sometimes in german, sometimes in Lilli-english.

As you might see soon, english is not my mothertongue. And since english speaking people are used to others stumble around in their language, I hope I don't make too much of an idiot of myself here. So - my deepest apologies adressed to the English Language for not worshipping her better.

Childrens Stories
I try to teach english to wondergirl as early as possible. In our german school-system there is, until the last two years or so, never been the thinking of a child learning a second language before age of 8 or 10. Many people say this is bullshit and I believe these people, so I try to do it better.
She has english books, we go to the Early Learning Centres, whenver we're in the UK and come out packed with tons of wonderful stuff in english and not gettable in germany - at least not in english.

Now I found over at Cinnamons Place this great link to the ROSETTA PROJECT, where one can download old childrens stories (like the ugly duckling and so) with wonderful old pictures for free. Yes - FOR FREE!! I've been there and loaded like there were no tomorrow, which is silly, since this page possibly will be there, tomorrow, too. I'll try to translate the one or the other story into german, either just for my own use, or, if wanted also for the use of this site. It's so nice to see someone having spend so much time for this stuff. Wonderful! I'm sure, Wondergirl will love it!
